The Great East Japan Earthquake has deeply scarred not only individuals, but it has also damaged many companies and industries greatly with the largescale earthquake and tsunami, the size of which was completely beyond estimations. The earthquake did instantly cut off all the public utilities (electricity, gas, water, etc.), means of telecommunications including phone lines and internet, and lifelines such as logistic networks, and this caused serious turmoil in business activities and people’s life.
Out company have carried on our business activities since the establishment according to a company policy of “aiming to be a company that is capable of contributing to society even immediately after natural disasters.” Because all our staff from executives to those in a marginal position, are penetrated with this policy, at the time of the earthquake, our company was able to maintain a perfect in-house structure that can provide materials necessary for clients to recover lifelines (repair of blackout) and we succeeded in carrying on our usual businesses only two days after the disaster.
The areas are still in reconstruction. We continue being a company that is capable of contributing to local society by practicing the company policy of “aiming to be a company being capable of contributing to society even immediately after a disaster.”
